Solitaire
Queen on king, it's the same old thing
When there's nothing, nothing left to do.
We could sit around or drive into town
And catch a movie at the local Amc.
I'll get a job if you really want me to.
I'll cut my hair in the style of white-collar despair.
We'll run away
But if you don't expect too much from me to care
We can sit and play solitaire.
Come on down and let's erase that frown
Waste our money at the five and dime.
But the stores are closed, so the story goes.
There'll be nothing but you and me and time.
(Chorus)
Tell me something that money just can't buy.
Why are all those stupid things still on your mind?
King on queen, it's the same old thing.
Come on tell me, tell me what to do.
We could sit around or drive into town
And catch a movie at the local Amc.
I'll get a job if you really want me to.
I'll cut my hair in the style of rock & roll despair.
But if you don't expect too much from me to care
We can sit and play solitaire.
